Strategic Planning workshop

By completing a strategic plan you are able to align your business goals and action plans to your business vision. Planning plays an important role in any business venture. It can make the difference between the success or failure of your business. By understanding your business environment you can be a proactive business owner/manager instead of reactive.

The ultimate purpose of a strategic plan is to ensure that there is a successful business. By completing a strategic plan you are able to align your business goals and action plans to our business vision.

Planning plays an important role in any business venture. It can make the difference between success or failure of your business. By understanding your business environment you can be a proactive business owner/manager instead of reactive. Taking the time to plan, ensures that all parties involved are focused on a shared long term vision, place emphasis on the same key priorities and believe in the same values.

To ensure that there is a successful outcome the following steps are suggested:

  1. PRE-SESSION DISCOVERY SESSION

Prior to the strategic session, this meeting will clarify the following:

  • Current business vision/mission
  • Current business plan/strategy
  • Current members involved in the planning session. These members will be driving the strategy and are therefore ultimately responsible for the outcome.

TIMEFRAME

An hour meeting to be held with all key parties not less than 14 days prior to the session

2.  STRATEGY SESSION

(time spent away working on the business with no distractions)

This session is interactive and requires individual participation. The session also requires for participants to step out of their comfort zones and reflect on their current situation.

Additional focuses can be include – Ice breakers, personal journey stories, leardership focuses. Depending on the unique need of the business. This can be discussed at the pre-session discovery session.

3. POST SESSION MEETING

A “one pager” business plan will be summarised from all content generated at the strategy session. A coaching and follow up framework is presented to the business with the option of monthly follow ups and individual coaching sessions.
